What the AFA’s are all about
The AFA’s were designed to recognize the best downhill, freeriders, urban riders and dirt jumpers for their exceptional riding skills. When it comes to riding, the Province of Alberta often lives in British Columbia’s shadow however now more than ever we are producing some seriously talented riders that are pushing our sport on a daily basis; and the AFA’s are around to honor them. In addition, the AFA’s have partnered with Canada Olympic Park and are part of a Snowrace event as well. The evening also includes a live concert and many $$$ worth of swag tosses to the crowd! This is a non-profit event; in fact all of the $50-60K of Draw prizes and swag that has been given away over the past 5 years is purely through sponsorship. Past AFA sponsors have included Devinci, Block 8, Santa Cruz, Oakley, Dakine, Troy Lee Designs and many more.
